WBU Open Trials 2008
Following a pre-trial, the first of the two weekends of Open Trials proper was held on 27th-28th September in Cardiff. Ken Richardson ran everything in his very efficient and friendly way, and has supplied all the detailed results.
Ten pairs played ten board matches against each other. Each board was Butler scored on the middle three of the five results. The ten board matches were then scored on a 60 VP scale, a tie being 30-30 and moving one VP per IMP until margins greater than 30 IMP become 60-0.

The second weekend of the trials was held on 1st-2nd November in Cardiff. Again many thanks to Ken for his calm efficiency and supplying the results. Liz Atkinson and Chris Rochelle were unable to play, so there was a sit-out.
