European Masterpoints System
The European Bridge League has introduced a European Masterpoints system covering performances in European and World events since 1980.
You can read about the system, and see how individuals have performed in the events they have played in by visiting the EBL site and clicking on Departments/Masterpoints.
The following table shows Welsh players who have been awarded 10 or more points. Jill Casey earned most of her points playing in the British Ladies team in the 1990s, and the other notable success was the Welsh Seniors team coming seventh in the Istanbul Olympiad in 2004.
Like most masterpoint systems, there is a bias in favour of people who play in more events.
