Welsh Cup Final 2009-10
The Welsh Cup 2009-10 was played at Cardiff bridge club on Saturday June 19th.
Congratulations to Adrian Thomas, Peter Goodman, Diane Kurbalija, Jill Casey, Paul Denning & Pat Shields who retained the cup after a close final against Roger Penton, Rob Charlesworth, Gwynn Davis, Sue Ingham, Dan McIntosh & Julian Pottage.
The final was close throughout, Thomas leading by 18 at the 32-board halfway
point but being pegged back to be losing by 8 after 48.
They won the last 2 sets to win at the end by 27 imps, a slightly flattering
scoreline but their greater experience possibly counted in the end.
