Welsh Junior Day, Cardiff 14th October 2006

12 Welsh Juniors were able attend a training/trials afternoon at Cardiff Bridge Club on Saturday 14th October. The furthest distance travelled was by Eve Hatfield who drove from Durham where she is at University.

The session was arranged by Junior Co-ordinator Elaine Sharp and the Chief Tutor was Patrick Jourdain. Maggie Pierce attended as a mentor as did parents of the younger children.

New partnerships were tried out and at the end of the day two teams-of-four (Under 25 and Under 20) were announced for next February's Home internationals - the Junior Camrose (for under-25s), and the Peggy Bayer Trophy (for under 20's).

James Harris would have been included in the Peggy Bayer squad but unfortunately is away on holiday next February.
